Legendary actor Aamir Khan recently appeared at an event in Delhi where he talked about stepping back from his onscreen life and turning all the focus on his family.
This event in Delhi was one of Aamir’s first public appearances since his film Laal Singh Chaddha failed to perform at the Box Office. Besides this movie, his previous work ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ which was released back in 2018 had also remained a flop.
Aamir who has been one of the most iconic superstars of Bollywood and has done superhit films like PK, 3 Idiots, Fanaa, Taare Zameen Par, Raja Hindustani, Lagaan announced his decision of taking a hiatus in an event in Delhi organized by one of his childhood friends.

He stated, “When I am doing a film as an actor, I get so lost that nothing else happens in my life. I was supposed to do a film after Laal Singh Chaddha called Champions. It’s a wonderful script, a beautiful story, and it’s a very heartwarming and lovely film. But I feel that I want to take a break, be with my family, with my mom, and with my kids.”
Sporting a new all-grey look Aamir patiently answered all the questions thrown at him during the chat session. The 57-year-old professional actor had previously shown off his grey hair look on Instagram when his daughter posted a picture of him during the lockdown. Aamir during the Delhi event left his beard and hair uncolored while sharing his personal stories unfiltered.

Dragging his previous point of spending quality time with the family, he carried on saying, “I feel I have been working for 35 years and I have single-mindedly been focused on my work. I feel that it’s not fair to people who are close to me… This is the time I feel I have to take some time off to be with them and actually experience life in a different way. I am looking forward to next year, a year-and-a-half in which I am not working as an actor.”
Talking about his next film Champion, Aamir mentioned, “I’ll be working as a producer, so I’ll be producing Champions. I will be approaching other actors now to do the role that I was hoping to do. Hopefully, that will go well. I’m in that stage in life where I’d like to enjoy my relationships at this point of time. That’s the best way I can put it.”
