State Bank of India (SBI) customers can now make UPI payments through their RuPay credit cards. The bank announced the integration of SBI Credit Cards with UPI on Thursday. This will allow SBI Card customers to use their credit cards to pay for goods and services at online and offline merchants that accept UPI payments.
To avail of this facility, SBI Card customers need to register their credit card with a UPI app. The bank has partnered with several UPI apps, including BHIM UPI, PhonePe, Paytm, Google Pay, Slide, and Mobikwik. Once the card is registered, customers can use it to make UPI payments by simply scanning the merchant’s QR code or entering their UPI ID and PIN.
The integration of SBI Credit Cards with UPI is a major boost for digital payments in India. It will allow SBI Card customers to make convenient and secure payments using their credit cards at a wider range of merchants. The bank is also offering a number of rewards and benefits to customers who use their credit cards for UPI payments.
In addition to making UPI payments, SBI Card customers can also use their credit cards to withdraw cash from ATMs without a debit card. To do this, they need to download the SBI Yono app and register their credit card on the app. Once the card is registered, customers can withdraw cash from any SBI ATM by selecting the “Yono Cash” option.
The integration of SBI Credit Cards with UPI and the introduction of the Yono Cash facility are part of SBI’s efforts to promote digital payments. The bank is also offering a number of other digital payment products and services, such as the SBI Pay app and the SBI Quick Response (QR) code.
With these initiatives, SBI is playing a leading role in the digitization of payments in India. The bank is committed to providing its customers with convenient, secure, and affordable payment options.
